More Than Half of Electric Vehicles Will Be Commercial by 2030

Sharz.net, a company specializing in electric vehicle charging station networks, highlighted that there will be a rapid shift towards "electrification" in company vehicles and fleet rental vehicles used for commercial purposes. The company’s General Coordinator, Ayşe Ece Şengönül, stated, "Out of the total 26 million vehicles in Turkey, more than 7 million are used for commercial purposes, and these vehicles release approximately 24 million tons of fuel into the atmosphere each year... Currently, there are about 3 million company vehicles and 245,000 operational fleet rental vehicles. We anticipate that by 2030, approximately 1 million electric vehicles will be on the roads, with 550,000 of them being used for commercial purposes. Especially for vehicles that will be operating in city centers, it is necessary to plan the charging station infrastructure accordingly," she said.
